      1. it is indeed important. yea how we feel and when you explain something then they get yourbpoint of view which makes it easier to go along

  1. Be truthful and be who they are… 🙂

    “Portrait of a Friend”

I can’t give solutions to all of life’s problems, doubts,
or fears. But I can listen to you, and together we will
    search for answers.

I can’t change your past with all it’s heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can’t keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.
    Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.

    Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,
and help you when you ask.

I can’t prevent you from falling away from friendship,
    from your values, from me.
I can only think of you, talk to you and wait for you.

I can’t give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change, room to grow,
    room to be yourself.

I can’t keep your heart from breaking and hurting,
But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces
and put them back in place.

I can’t tell you who you are or who you will be
I can only love you and be your friend
    (Adam Clarke)

  2. 1. We should like each other
    2. We should be able to forgive each other our human-ness
    3. We should be able to get over each other’s envy for the other, rather quickly

  3. Honest, an interest/passion in/for something, humor
optional: good taste in music or arts, articulate, non-judgmental, I don’t like racists or narcissists, independent, caring. A little like me but not too much! 🙂

      1. Because it’s fun to learn new things, to see other points of view in a discussion. Too much of the same is boring but the foundation of the difference should be mutual respect.

  4. Good question.
In the words of George Bernard Shaw
“The only sensible person is my tailor. He measures me anew each time he sees me.”
I would like a tailor friend and would like to be one for someone. 🙂

  5. Loyalty & Trusts, in the sense of keeping quiet about things. I don’t want anyone to spread rumors, fact or fiction, about me.

A spirit of listening & validation. A lot of times, what I seek from a friend is validation that my experience is legitimate , and either unique or common to most people so that I feel better about my own life.

Carefree & laidback, so that I feel relaxed around them and don’t have to deal with drama.

  6. 1. Kindness: a sense of humanitarianism
    2. A sense of humor…for Gods sake!
    3. Energy that lifts me when I get close to them. They are vibrating at a higher frequency than “regular ” folks. We feel comfortable together.
