Sometimes we tend to treat things so seriously that we feel we’re holding on the whole world. In the grand scheme of things, our pressure and our feelings is not that important. People have other things to do than keeping their eyes on us. Everybody has his/her own life to take care of.
Yes, our words are very powerful, but that’s only because others give them power. For example, if a random stranger cusses you, it’s not as powerful as a family member would do it. That’s because there are some emotions involved and the words coming from our family are more important than others. But those words are just moments in time. Everything is just a moment and we tend to prolong those moments, especially the bad ones.
I love how Sadhguru below mentions that our brain is like a supercomputer with no keyboard. We’re awesome at analyzing things, but we suck when it comes to letting those things go. We get stuck in a certain loop hours, days or even weeks because someone said something in 30 seconds, which probably has nothing to do with us. Is it fair we hurt ourselves so much?
Just watch this guy… he seems the most relaxed person on this Earth. If he’s on to something, I want that!
What do you think about his approach?
Eloquent orator, thanks for sharing the video. Three takeaways for me – 1. A firefly’s life compared to my life compared to a river’s life 2. Make time for less serious things. 3. Thoughts come and go, do not play with them unless you want to.
Great takeaways! This really puts things in perspective!
I’ll have to come back and watch-but you’re absolutely right! Letting these things go, at least for me, is a huge struggle.
It is a struggle and that’s when letting things go is exactly what we need…
Awesome, well written and life changing. I will remember it. Going to try to share it on my blog. Hope I get it right lol.
I just put a link on my blog of yours for others to read. I enjoy your blogs thank you.
Thank you very much for reading and for sharing! I really appreciate it! <3
My pleasure 🙂

Well said!! There is so much power in words and body language. Your absolutely right about how a family member can trigger us more than a stranger. Our subconscience holds onto those past memories and stores them. Therefore when we are triggered it’s our subconscience that’s expressing its defenses. Great read!!!
Thank you very much for reading and for your kind words! We need to be aware of what influences us so we can decide if we should do something about that.
This is truly touching, we are responsible for how we handle thoughts that play in our mind. If we give them attention, they offer adverse effects.
Yes, exactly! Thank you for reading!
I agree that we get carried away by emotions, especially from people closest to us. I’ve seen the video before, he is by far the coolest man I’ve seen! If only we can have part of how he thinks.
Oh yes! He looks like nothing can shake his boots. He’s awesome!
