      1. Not always, but usually it does!! For me it is important to see thing thru no matter what, there will be struggles but the journey is very important!

  1. You have to keep your eyes on the prize. You have to know that the journey is an important part of the outcome. You must believe that if you really want whatever it is you are working toward, you must experience the journey.

  2. Read, read, read. And if that fails, watch a good show or movie for inspiration. If the inspiration well goes dry for me, then I am totally screwed, so I constantly read or watch things.

  3. Reminding myself of the end goal. Giving myself permission to take a break if that’s appropriate. Mostly, being stubborn does it for me.

  4. Set minor goals, lots of little milestones to reach for.
The end goal can be very daunting, and that can kill motivation, in my experience, so little goals along the way are the key.

  6. in my line of work i remember that any project, good or bad, is moving me forward and making me better. i lose motivation when something doesn’t go my way but then remember, everything has a process so trust it !!

      1. no!! it took a lot of failed projects to understand that it’s a way of growing, it’s a mental exercise for sure lol

      1. I’m into embroidery and cross stitch, intermediate level, in the process of putting my work up for sale online, but taking baby steps

  7. It reading the other comments until after I write, so I apologize if this is redundant. But for me, visualizing the finished outcome and using it to fuel my drive. Also, I tend to focus on several things I enjoy about the project; it’s meditative qualities; the value of the skill; things like that. But if you put me in a room and assign me projects that I can not be spiritually attached to, forget it. You will get no projects complete from me. Just how i am.

    1. Autocorrect is not my friend. That first sentence, “I’m not reading…” no idea how that switched. 🤪
