It’s Monday again.
It’s ice cold here in my corner of the world.
It’s the perfect day to stay in bed, sip a mug of steamy goodness, and let laziness lead the way.
But there are many things to do.
As I look in the mirror, I see wrinkles. Weary eyes. Chapped lips.
I see a new mom who’s overwhelmed, sore, and anxious.
But that isn’t all of me.
That isn’t the end.
I’m also a survivor.
A dedicated human.
A student of life.
I’m a certified badass who refuses to give up.
And friend, so are you.
So. Are. You.
No matter where you are, or what your circumstance is, remind yourself that you can get through this.
You are strong.
You are resilient.
You are amazingly unique.
You, are amazingly you.
And you got this.
. . .
What does your personal pep-talk sound like, Dear Reader?
. . .
SnapDragon is a human being who loves hand-written letters, cooing at animals, and any kind of iced coffee.
Read her Two-Bit Musings and more on Snippets of SnapDragon.
Thanks for the reminder from all who were tired of fighting and beginning to feel hopeless…
Of course! I think we all have the urge to give up sometimes. Itβs part of the human experience. π
I have recently taken to eagle nest watching and playing music loudly with dancing like an idiot when Im feeling out of sorts. I don’t recommend that for new moms trying to get rest though.
Haha. That sounds awesome, though. Whatβs your current favorite dance song? π
Dance Monkey by Tones and I. I’m obsessed with her voice!
I just watched the video. . . Ridiculous! Great beat, though. π
It makes me smile so much, and I can’t help but dance to it!
I was singing it to myself all afternoon. Itβs definitely catchy! βΊοΈ
I like your posts because they are like little narrative poems or pep talks. Thanks for this one!
Thanks, Troy! π
Great post. First time reading. Well and now following. Thank you for the pep talk as you called it.
Thanks, friend! π
