Movie Thoughts – Predestination (2014)

This movie is about a time traveling agent that has to catch a criminal (you can find more about it here). This is one of those movies that needs to be seen with a fresh mind. I remember that when I first saw it, I was pretty tired so I had to re-watch the second part because I think it’s too f*cked up.

The action this movie has made me think about a few things. Firstly, I found it very interesting how our beliefs change in time, sometimes in quite the opposite way. So what I believe now can be changed to 180 degrees if I have enough evidence as long as I’m willing to accept those evidences. It seems that we can make drastically changes to our lives, right?

Another interesting thing I picked up from this movie is that we’re creating our own future. I’ve talked more about this concept in this post. We are not victims to circumstances. We are victims of our own minds, aren’t we? The way we think has an influence on the way we behave and the way we behave now is what decides our future so actually now is the future (wtf did I just wrote?).

Anyway, although I think the first half is a little boring (it’s an important part of the story), overall it’s an awesome movie! Have you seen it? What do you think about it?
