PEOPLE OF EARTH :
If you’re free and/or bored today at either 1:00pm or 6:00pm American Eastern Daylight Time, please click on a link below to watch a FREE live stream of a reading from New York City of my new play about Dorothy Parker.
For those of you who may not know, a play reading is where the actors (two, in this case) read the script from music stands while occasionally, important stage directions are read to provide context/action.
The actors alone are worth tuning in for. They’re crazily good. They’ve also been humanely raised and are organic, gluten-free, and locally sourced.
This endeavor is part of my online theater company’s work, although this reading is IRL (that’s In Real Life, but IRL to save time, which, by explaining what IRL is, I’ve just blown) with an audience in attendance and everything.
No animals were harmed in the writing of this play, and if all goes as planned, none will be during the reading, either.
Oh yeah – it’s FREE. In this economy, can you afford NOT to watch it?
Anyway, Dorothy Parker and Robert Benchley, the two characters in this play, were great writers, wits, and members of the famed Algonquin Roundtable.
If you like watching savagely witty people make desperately poor life choices, this will be your cup of tea.
Anyway, the links are below. And now, back to your regularly scheduled blog, as pointlessly thinky as ever.

Congrats, Jack! You should promote all your playwright and theatre activities here! Should I tell you to break a leg? Or are playwrights suppose to break other body parts?
Funniest self promotion I’ve read in a long time. On the road. If I can I’ll tune in.
Not shameless at all. So generous. Wonderful! I hope to take a break from my proposal and tune in—Thank you!
Not sure I can make, but if I can, I will. Congrats!
