I remember when this happened, when she told me about it. I’m still seriously so proud of her. But it totally makes one think about how early this stuff happens in kids lives, because I know at high school kids are already jaded. It just goes to show how much of an impact our words can have on one another – to uplift or put down each other, even if we don’t see our words as having much weight. ❤
It’s astonishing how early this kind of bullying starts. I don’t know if it’s always been there (I rather think it has) and we’re just now calling it what it is, or if we’re pushing kids too hard to grow up (I also think we are) and not allowing them to be themselves.
