One day in Pokhara, Nepal at the height of the humid season, everything felt like it was boiling. My mind, my Mac, even my sense of self seemed to sizzle. I walked out into the warm rain just to breathe, and ended up in a small restaurant.
By pure chance, I met a Swedish man doing business in Nepal. Impulsive as always, I started talking to him. I asked about the common threads between business and creativity. I inquired what it truly takes to start something on your own. I also asked about the courage needed to believe in yourself.
We recorded our conversation while the rain was pouring down. I cleaned the audio as best I can, but please bear with the sound quality.
I hope you enjoy it.

That was interesting Parisa! I love how you just struck up the conversation with somebody you just met.😎 I also liked how he said not to “ shine your light” around small minded naysayers who will bring you down, but instead get with the right people.
Thank you, Todd. I truly resonate with what he said too— choosing the right people to walk with, and surrounding ourselves with them, is key.
I like his concept of creativity. In English you can split the word into two: create and activity. So, I fully agree with him. The only difference is that artists produce something that is more visible.
Very creative, Cristiana — create and activity and voilà, there you have creativity.
