      1. The one I’ve mentioned before is likely the biggest one, those who have accepted my being trans. I could never take that for granted.

  1. A coworker knew I had been in an accident and had no vehicle to get to work. So he came and picked me up every morning and took me to pick up my kids before taking me home every evening until I got a car. Something I’ll never forget.

  2. I had plans to go to a concert and the day before I totaled my car. I really wanted to go and my dad drove the hundred miles and took my friend and I to the show. He waited outside and let me enjoy the concert then took us home. He rarely did anything nice for me so it was special.

    1. That’s very nice of him! Maybe he had hard times figuring out how to do nice things for you and when he saw the opportunity, he took it.

  3. He had a hard time being nice to all of us. If he didn’t have so much self hatred it would have made it easier for him to love us. But yes it was very nice of him.

    1. Ok, it makes sense now… If he didn’t love himself, he had hard time to express love towards other people…

  4. One of my neighbors brushed the snow off my car for an entire winter. I live in Upstate New York, and that’s a lot of snow! He knew I had small children, and he didn’t, so he made sure I didn’t have to go out early and clean off my car.

      1. It was all the more surprising because I had stood on his doorstep, barefoot in the snow, yelling at him about his dogs running up and down the stairs at 11pm, making it so my kids couldn’t sleep (we live in a townhouse with very thin walls). He may have initially brushed my car off out of guilt, but he continued doing so for the entire winter. In Upstate New York, winters can last up to six months.

  5. I really like this quote! Personally I think we should all try to do for others because it will possibly make their day! Today at the grocery store, the lady parked next to me was struggling to get the grocery in her car. This lady was older and handicap, so I offered to help her get the bags in her car.

  6. 5 years ago a coworker cancelled her annual leave so I could take the time off instead to spend with my ill mum. She’s now my best friend.

      1. We had only worked together for 5 months before she offered to do that but had got along from the start 🙂

      1. Um okay.. random 3

        – the way mum cared for me. Ãlwåyß there when i was sick

        – my brother, who gave me unexpected gifts anytime he liked. There was no occasion.

        – my friend circle together gifted me a book on my birthday

        – a friend from Greece unexpectedly drew a handlettering for me on my birthday

There are many things and people i am grateful for 😊
