Movie Thoughts – The Greatest Showman (2017)

Movie Thoughts   This movie is about a man who made his dream come true by not giving up (you can read more about it here). It’s interesting to see how many things we can ignore if we are pursuing the things we want. The problem is that not all the things we’re ignoring should be ignored. Also, there are things we should ignore, but we aren’t.

First of all, this movie clearly demonstrates how success can be achieved if we have the right motivation, if we are prepared to take risks and if we overcome any obstacle. The thing I’ve noticed is that during this journey we might change our motivation and this might lead us to a path where the original motivation is ignored. For example, the journey begins with us wanting to create a better life for us, our families and for the people around us. On our path of creating this life, we might want to impress certain people and to go up on the social ladder and by doing this we might push away the people we were trying to create a better life for. We might end up ignoring our families and friends because we fear they would have a negative impact on our new life even though they were the reason we started in the first place.

Another thing this movie thought me is that we should ignore and remove from our lives people and opinions who are toxic for us. We care too much about what other people think and say and this is affecting the way we think and act. If we are around these kind of people long enough, we’ll become just like them and we’ll be sucking the life out of other people. If they are all right, why aren’t they all successful? Why the successful people are always the ones that dare to think different even though everyone else is trying to “correct” their mindset?

I’m ending with this: If people want a different life, why are they all acting the same over and over again?

I loved the concept and the fact that every dialogue makes so much sense ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can watch it several times…. how we should embrace every oddity in others and ourselves.
